Free AI visibility check
When buyers ask ChatGPT for a vendor,
does it recommend you?
Enter your brand and industry. We ask ChatGPT (with web search on) 3 questions your buyers actually ask, and show whether you appear — and who gets recommended instead.
What this check measures
The AI visibility check measures whether your brand appears when a potential buyer asks ChatGPT for a vendor. It does not look at keyword rankings. It simulates a buying situation: the system writes 3 recommendation or comparison questions for your industry, has ChatGPT answer them with web search on, checks each answer for your brand, and lists the other brands the AI recommended. Definition questions ("what is CPA") are left out on purpose: AI usually answers those from model knowledge without searching, so GEO cannot move them.
How it is measured
| Item | Method |
|---|---|
| Engine | Official OpenAI API (Responses API + web_search); the ChatGPT website is not scraped |
| Questions | 3 buyer-intent questions generated for your industry; your brand name is never in the question |
| Market | Search location set to the country you pick |
| Detection | Counted as a mention when the answer text names your brand; domains inside link URLs do not count |
| Samples | The free check asks each question once; answers vary run to run, so one run is not a trend |
How to read the result
- 0/3
- No answer mentioned you. Start with the list of brands AI recommended: the sites it cited for them (comparisons, directories, forums) are where you need to show up next.
- 1–2/3
- You appear, but not reliably. Usually one kind of question has supporting content and another does not; look at what the missed question lacked.
- 3/3
- AI recommends you consistently for these questions. Re-run with a narrower industry or budget to make sure the questions were not too broad.
FAQ
Why does the ChatGPT app give me a different answer?
The app adapts answers to login state, memory and model version. This check uses the official API with no conversation history, like a brand-new user. The direction usually matches, but single questions can differ, which is why trends across many questions and runs matter.
Why is it one check per email per day?
Every check makes real, paid AI API calls. The limit keeps the free version available.
How is GEO different from SEO?
SEO gets a page ranked in search results; GEO gets AI answers to name and cite you. They share a content foundation but are measured differently: GEO tracks mention rate and citation rate, not rank.
