Taiwan ecommerce platform comparison: SHOPLINE vs CYBERBIZ vs Shopify vs EasyStore

TL;DR: On their official pricing pages (checked 7 October 2026), SHOPLINE costs NT$40,000–88,000 a year, annual billing only, plus a NT$5,000 setup fee and a 2% GMV fee (1.5% on the top plan). CYBERBIZ lists NT$28,350–68,040 a year, and its "+" plans carry a 1% GMV fee. Shopify runs US$25–399 a month (Plus from US$2,300), and because Shopify Payments isn't available in Taiwan, every Taiwanese store pays an extra 0.2%–2% third-party fee. EasyStore runs NT$2,624–12,599 a month (lower on its "minimum" rate) with no transaction fee. For SEO control, Shopify gives you the most; for tracking, all four have official Meta Conversions API integrations. One thing up front: we haven't run a store on any of these platforms. Our own stores are custom-built. This comparison comes from the platforms' official pages, plus what we'd be able to fix, or not, if you hired us to work on a store built on each.

Why compare these four?

SHOPLINE and CYBERBIZ are Taiwanese platforms, and most local web shops you'll meet run on one of them. Shopify is the one overseas founders already know. EasyStore is a Malaysian platform with a Taiwanese pricing page and a no-commission pitch. Our research also covered 91APP, WACA, BVSHOP, meepShop, SHOPSTORE, Wix and WooCommerce. We mention them where it helps, but they're not the focus here.

How much does each platform cost?

All prices in NT$ unless marked. "Not listed" means the official pricing page doesn't say, not that it's free.

Two notes on reading these pages:

  • CYBERBIZ. The main pricing page marks the older Advanced and Expert plans "no transaction commission". The full comparison table, though, shows 1% GMV on the current Advanced+ and Expert+ plans and 5% on Enterprise. The table shows two sets of figures, and we've used the higher ones, which match the main pricing page. If you're signing, get the fee in writing on your quote.
  • EasyStore. The page doesn't spell out what conditions get you the lower "minimum" price.

What does the GMV fee add up to?

Our own example, not an official figure: a store doing NT$500,000 a month on SHOPLINE's Explorer plan pays 40,000 + 5,000 (first year) + 500,000 × 12 × 2% = NT$165,000 in year one, before card fees. On EasyStore, which takes no GMV cut, the platform cost is just the subscription. On Shopify in Taiwan, the extra 0.2%–2% comes on top of whatever your gateway (ECPay, NewebPay) charges.

This matters most when you're scaling ads. Every order your ads bring in pays the GMV fee too, so when we work out ROAS or break-even on SHOPLINE, CYBERBIZ+ or Shopify, we take it off first.

Can each platform send Meta Conversions API events?

Built-in CAPI↗ doesn't mean good CAPI. You generally can't change which events or parameters a platform sends, and deduplication still needs checking. On our own store, Meta reported 65 purchases where we had 34 paid orders traceable to Meta. That's a custom site, not one of these platforms, but it's why we never take platform-reported conversions at face value. The full write-up is in Meta reported 65 purchases, our store had 34.

How much SEO control do you get?

"Yes" means the official docs say so. "Not found" means we couldn't find it in the official docs, not that it can't be done.

What could we fix for you on each platform?

This is the part that matters if you're thinking of hiring help. It's based on what each platform's docs say you can and can't change. We haven't operated stores on them, so treat it as a starting point and check it against your own back office.

SHOPLINE

  • What we can work on: titles, descriptions and descriptive URLs on every page type; product pages already output structured data; the blog takes up to 3,000 posts; hreflang is handled. So SEO work here is mostly content, internal links and category-page copy. Tracking (GA4, GTM, FBE with CAPI) is built in, so our job is verifying it: deduplication, match quality, and reconciling GA4 purchases with back-office orders.
  • What we can't: robots.txt is view-only, URL prefixes are fixed, <head> is only reachable through GTM, and structured data is whatever the system generates. CAPI is the platform's; if its data isn't good enough, the fix is a separate server-side setup.
  • Say this before you start: the 2% GMV fee comes out of every ad-driven sale, so it has to be in the ROAS maths.

CYBERBIZ

  • What we can work on: because theme.liquid is editable, we can add our own structured data (Product, Breadcrumb, FAQ), canonical tags and <head> code. Of the Taiwanese hosted platforms we looked at, it's one of the most flexible. FBE comes with CAPI, and there are official guides for GTM, Merchant Center and LINE Tag.
  • What we can't: robots.txt, URL slugs and hreflang aren't covered in the official docs. Theme edits can break the storefront, so changes need versioning.
  • Say this before you start: "+" plans take 1% of GMV, Enterprise 5%. A contract-transfer post on PTT (a Taiwanese forum) mentioned a "24+1 month" CYBERBIZ contract, which suggests two-year terms exist. That's a user post, not an official term, so check your own contract.

Shopify

  • What we can work on: the most SEO control of any hosted platform here: robots.txt, theme, sitemap and 301s are all adjustable. The Facebook & Instagram app provides CAPI; the Google & YouTube app connects Merchant Center and GA4.
  • What we can't: GTM only runs in the Custom Pixel sandbox, so the usual GTM web-container setup doesn't work, and Tag Assistant can't see it. We'd use Custom Pixel with a dataLayer, or server-side tagging. Taiwanese payments, convenience-store pickup and e-invoices all need third-party apps.
  • Say this before you start: in Taiwan you always pay the extra 0.2%–2%, plus your gateway's own fees. Shopify's help center also warns that robots.txt edits are unsupported and mistakes can cost you traffic.

EasyStore

  • What we can work on: theme source (Liquid) is editable, so <head> code and structured data can be added; handles are editable; CAPI switches on when Facebook is connected; Merchant Center syncs in one click. With no GMV fee, platform cost doesn't climb as ads scale.
  • What we can't: robots.txt is system-controlled. We found no official doc on 301 redirects. Theme edits have to be redone if you switch themes.
  • Say this before you start: if you change themes later, our added code needs reinstalling, and that should be in the quote.

The others, briefly. 91APP doesn't publish prices and sells its own SEO and ad services, so we'd need your contract and permission list first. meepShop and SHOPSTORE don't list CAPI, so server-side events would need a separate setup. WACA's lower plans cap the blog (none on entry, 5 posts on the growth plan). If you're on FamilyMart's or 7-Eleven's free seller platforms, there's essentially no SEO or conversion tracking to work with.

Which platform would we pick?

There's no single winner. Going by the docs alone:

  • If SEO control matters most: Shopify, accepting the Taiwan fee and the GTM workaround.
  • If you want to stay on a Taiwanese platform and still change code: CYBERBIZ or EasyStore.
  • If you want the most complete built-in feature set and are fine working through fields and content: SHOPLINE. Factor in the 2% GMV fee.
  • If you're running ads hard: compare the GMV fee at your expected volume first. At NT$500,000 a month, 2% is NT$120,000 a year.

FAQ

Is SHOPLINE or Shopify better for selling in Taiwan?

Shopify gives you more SEO control; SHOPLINE has more local features built in (Taiwanese payments, convenience-store logistics, e-invoices) but takes a 2% GMV fee. In Taiwan, Shopify always adds a 0.2%–2% third-party fee because Shopify Payments isn't available.

Does EasyStore charge a transaction fee?

No. EasyStore's Taiwan pricing page says it charges no commission whether you pay monthly or yearly.

Does CYBERBIZ take a percentage of sales?

According to its official comparison table, the current Advanced+ and Expert+ plans carry a 1% GMV fee and Enterprise 5%. Older plans without the "+" were marked commission-free. Confirm on your quote.

Which platforms have Meta Conversions API built in?

SHOPLINE, CYBERBIZ, Shopify and EasyStore all have official CAPI integrations. meepShop and SHOPSTORE don't list it.

Have you run stores on these platforms?

No. Our three stores are custom-built. This comparison is from official documentation, and we've said where the docs don't cover something.
